There is one Upazila Fisheries Office in each Upazila under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock for the purpose of bringing all the water bodies of the upazila under modern fish farming, creating employment through the use of fisheries technology, conserving fishery resources and protecting biodiversity, meeting human demand for animal meat and increasing fish exports. And each upazila has one fish seed production farm. Sadar Upazila Fisheries Office, Magura is one of them. This office has 03 officers and 02 employees
